Band Launching EP with a Costume Party

CHICAGO, IL - The Alright Maybes are releasing EP Blue Sky Thinking on October 28. They will launch the EP that night at the Cubby Bear with a rock ’n’ roll costume party to kick off Halloween weekend. Preceding singles “Kurt” and “The Man Who Played The Part” have been well-received by fans, DJs and bloggers.

Rockatnight.com says the recordings have “an almost psych rock or dreamy feel,” along with “Angela Reinhart’s pure, clear voice” and “plenty of alt rock and pop rock appeal.” The writer adds, “We are looking forward to hearing more from this intriguing band!”

Band members say Blue Sky Thinking as a whole has a longing quality to it - longing to understand a relationship, another person from afar, and the people behind the songs.

The Alright Maybes’ sound can be described as a tug of war between the U.K. 60s and the U.S. 90s, played out on modern ground. Since their debut EP, 2021’s Always Almost, The Alright Maybes have been featured on a number of radio stations, blogs, podcasts, playlists and online magazines. In between regular Chicago club gigs, they’ve performed live for more than one thousand people at Arlington Heights Harmony Fest 2021, and for hundreds at their 2022 residency at The Dock at Montrose Beach.

In a way, this night will be a full circle event for The Alright Maybes. The first talks of starting the band happened at a costume party on Halloween weekend in 2020. On October 28, they will celebrate the past two years of the band with the people who have supported them every step of the way. This release party will be their homecoming gig after a short Midwest tour.
